mitdenkt Alternative

The mitdenkt alternative whose price stops growing with your team

mitdenkt is salon software from Ingolstadt that bundles calendar, point of sale and marketing - and, like us, takes no cut of the individual appointment. The difference is how the price grows: every mitdenkt package includes a quota of stylists, and each additional person costs a monthly surcharge according to their pricing page. With Salon Wizard the whole team is included in the Team plan, and only a further location costs a fixed surcharge.

Why salons switch to Salon Wizard

No commission per booking

Neither mitdenkt nor we take a share of the individual appointment - that is not a difference, and we will not pretend it is. What differs is everything else that grows with use: at mitdenkt the surcharge for each extra stylist and the reminders billed per message. Our monthly price is settled before the first booking arrives.

Your own booking website

Your guests book on your page under your name. mitdenkt serves the booking page on a subdomain of mitdenkt.io, with a visible “Powered by” note in the footer.

Data in Germany, GDPR-compliant

We say where your client data sits: on servers in Germany, GDPR-compliant. mitdenkt’s public privacy policy and terms name neither a server location nor a data processing agreement a salon owner can read.

Your whole team at no extra cost

With Salon Wizard every person is included in the Team plan; only further locations cost a fixed surcharge you can see in advance. mitdenkt publishes no price for several branches - that route goes through the “Corporate” package and a sales conversation.

Switch in a few steps

  1. Create your account

Sign up, name your salon, add your opening hours – no payment details.

  2. Add services and team

Set up treatments with duration and price, then add your staff. Included in the Team plan at no extra cost.

  3. Publish your booking page

Your page goes live and guests book under your brand – every appointment is yours.

What switching actually changes

What switching from mitdenkt means in practice - the three points where the two models genuinely differ.

  1. The price stops growing with the team

Instead of a quota plus a surcharge for each further person, you pay one fixed monthly amount for the whole Team plan. The invoice does not change when two seasonal helpers join in spring.

  2. The footer of your booking page is yours

Your guests land on a page with no other provider’s name under it, and with no directory page beside it listing your neighbourhood.

  3. The second location has a price, not a meeting

What a further branch costs is something you read in advance instead of negotiating. That is the difference between planning and enquiring.

What you keep, what you give up

What you keep

Calendar, client records, recurring appointments, reminders and your own booking page - the working day changes its shape, not its scope. Your services, hours and regulars come with you.

What you give up

The integrated till with its security device. mitdenkt offers one from the second package upwards; we deliberately offer none at all - anyone who wants to settle cash through the same software gives that up here and still needs a till of their own.

Common questions about the mitdenkt alternative

Does mitdenkt take a commission on appointments?

No. By its own account mitdenkt runs a pure subscription with no share of the individual appointment - exactly like ours. Anyone comparing the two should therefore not look at commission, but at what grows with the number of people and the number of messages.

What does each additional team member cost at mitdenkt?

We deliberately name no figure here - other people’s prices change, and an outdated claim about a named provider would be unfair. What matters is the model: every package includes a quota of stylists, and beyond it billing is per person per month according to the pricing page. The current amount is on mitdenkt’s pricing page.

I run several branches - what changes?

With us every further location costs a fixed surcharge you can read off the pricing page before you speak to anyone. At mitdenkt the route for several branches runs through the “Corporate” package, for which no public price is given; sales are to be contacted instead.

Do I keep my booking address?

Your booking page gets an address you choose yourself, and your own domain can be added on request. To be straight about it: our free address is a subdomain too. The difference is the footer and the neighbourhood - no “Powered by” note sits under your page, and we do not list the salons around you on a directory page of our own.

Am I tied to a contract term?

Not with us. At mitdenkt it depends on how you pay: their terms allow cancellation at the end of the month when paying monthly, but on annual payment the contract renews for another year and can only be cancelled at the end of that term. That is a point the phrase “no contract term” does not cover on its own.

Does my salon need a point of sale?

That is decided by the country you invoice in, and the answer varies widely. The question you have to ask is this: does my law require a certified security device for electronic tills, and from what point does it apply? In Germany, for example, exactly that holds for cash trade with an electronic till; elsewhere there is no comparable duty, or it falls on different businesses. mitdenkt offers a till with a security device, from the second package upwards according to its pricing page. Salon Wizard is deliberately not a till: we plan appointments, keep the client record and issue invoices; the till stays with whatever you use today. Anyone who wants both from one supplier is in the wrong place here.

Where does my client data sit?

With us on servers in Germany; that is what the page says and what the contract says. At mitdenkt, on 26.08.2026, we found neither a server location nor a readable data processing agreement in the public privacy policy or terms. That does not mean none exists - ask them before you decide.

Is the switch worth it if I work alone?

If you work alone and keep the till separate anyway, the difference is small - then it comes down to which interface suits you. The gap opens with the second and third person and with the second location, because our price stays where it is.

Is Salon Wizard right for your business?

A comparison answers the price question. It does not answer the question of fit. What each plan contains is on the pricing page – how Salon Wizard works in the day-to-day of your trade is what the vertical pages beside it show, each with the services, routines and examples that are usual there.
